i think i've been putting off writing about christmas. you know, if it's not summarized, it can't be over type-of-feeling. christmas was wonderful. it was a little different this year. mainly having christian around full-time and erik at a point where he knows something's going on. there's was definitely a magic and special spirit in our home. something that we commented on regularly that will hopefully continue.
i feel so blessed to have such great extended family nearby. we spent a lot of time at family parties during the holidays and caught up with many. several pictures from that are posted to the side.
the boys got lots of stuff. most of which has already taken up space in a closet or drawer somewhere. christian "needed" a lot and also got a playstation which i guess is called a PSP. we're talking eyes-popping-out-of-his-head-excited. erik's favorite thing was his car that he could sit in and push around with his feet. this was the first thing he saw Christmas morning and sat in it for 45 minutes (long time for him!) and didn't care to open any presents at all.
bryce got me an ipod. finally we have joined the music community. before ipods we just had the 'ole mp3 players that wouldn't work half the time. after you buy all that music though, it's hard to switch. it's a very nice companion on my early morning runs.
enough about the tangibles. we are very excited for a new year with many hopes ahead and many goals to accomplish.
hope yours was wonderful too.

Having a boy Christian's age myself I totally understand the joy a video game thingy brings them. We also have one of those flinstone car things and all of my kids(including the 9 year old) play with it.
