last week i took christian and erik to the zoo and the water park at the gateway mall. i had never been to hogle zoo and was very impressed with how nice it was. it wasn't a big zoo by any means, but it was really clean and not stinky like some zoos i've been too. erik slept most of the time while we were at the zoo. i think it was more of a full tummy-heat-coma-type sleep. it allowed christian and i to explore without the screams of delight from a 4 month old.
after the hot afternoon, we headed down to the water park at the gateway mall. christian had a ball playing in the water. my favorite was watching him dance around to the olympic anthems and choreographed water. too bad that during the song he looked right into a water spout. we had a picnic dinner while playing and lucked out that a nice jazz band was playing as the evening ended and rush hour traffic died down. (christian was looking for boozer and memo when i told him the jazz band was there) great summer day!
