shiner

erik is a strong 11 month old. with the fender that fell off his einstein's push-rocket thingy, he clocked me in the eye yesterday. it hurt and yes there were tears. first by me, and then by him. erik has a thing now that when he falls or when he decks his mom, he'll put his hand on his face and make an "ow" sound. it was comforting for a moment until i fell the goose egg knot on my upper cheek bone. the purple spread nicely to the rest of my eye so much so that clerks and shoppers at the mall yesterday were avoiding eye contact with me. how do i explain that my baby has good aim? at least it's a good conversation piece...

Hi Tara!! This is Becky (Croshaw) VanderLouw, how are you?! Your little boy is so adorable! I just had my 4th baby, crazy times at my house! Hope all is well with you...I'm still sleeping like a baby on my tempurpedic :) (when I can get sleep, that is)

ouch! i think we moms get just as bunged up as our toddlers. especially if you have boys. i have yet to have a bruise like that, but there have been several other injuries.

black and blue is definitely your color! Once Campbell and I were sitting on the couch together and when she leaned forward I sorta rested my head back on the couch then she decided to throw her head back really fast and hard and nailed me right between the eyes(just what my lovely nose needed). I I would've been standing up I'm sure she would've knocked me out. I got two black eyes and I swear my nose hasn't been the same since.(maybe now I can justify that nose job I've always wanted) Who's worried about abusive husbands? It't the kids that I need to watch.
