bryce woke up early saturday morning, went downstairs and cooked his usual bfast of eggs and toast. i'm sure he washed it down with the (again) usual 2 diet cokes followed by a dessert power bar. erik was still snoozing and i was somewhat too. i could hear him shuffling around a bit trying to be quiet. then he kissed me on the head and told me he was going up to wolf mountain to watch a trail race.
about 3 hours later, my subtle hubby called telling me how he had actually run the race and got 4th in his age group and 14th overall. it sounded like a brutal trail and the 1st in a series of 4 races with the xterra trail run series for the summer.
"are you going to run the other 3 races?"
"i don't know. maybe."
i guess stay tuned to see if he did.
