this story just came across the wire. who would have thought that my little town could be #3 in the country? it is a bit strange that outside mag actually picked d.c. as the #1 town - we'll take it though. i'd have to say in the last 3 years living here, i've really come to love o-town with all it's quirks. so as a tribute to ogden, here is a sampling of why i love this place - in no particular order of course:
- mountain backyard. i love waking up in the morning and seeing taylor canyon/malan's basin out my bedroom window. in the winter, i can look up and see the fresh tracks bryce and company have put down
- diverse, tree-lined neighborhood
- 25th street eats
- temple is 6 mins away
- snowbasin
- very enthusiastic outdoor community
- target - even though it is in riverdale
- many work opportunities for bryce
- bryce's family :)
i don't know if i agree that "it's ALL within reach". today i went shopping for something to wear for church sunday. (erik's blessing) i struck out big time. internet shopping is getting pretty much the norm here as ogden has zip as far as shopping goes. i guess i'm taking my reaching to slc tomorrow...

Hi, Tara! I don't know if you will even remember me, Brooke (Olsen) Lambert, but I found your blog through other people's, and was so excited! Jason and I are still here in Logan. Maybe someday we could all hook up in O-town. I'm from N. Ogden, you know, so I fully appreciate this post!
Email me if you want and I'll invite you to our little blog too. :) brookelambert@gmail.com
And congrats on that new little baby! We have one too!
