before catching a movie and heading to mantua for a nice picnic with my in-laws, we took part in the neighborhood parade and flag raising ceremony. we're blessed with such wonderful neighbors! our stake hosted the early morning event that kicked off with a kids parade around the block. christian was all pumped and ready for the loop and actually thought he had to be first in line behind the main vehicle. the program that followed was a great patriotic tribute that was incredibly spiritual. i think christian's favorite part was the donuts and sunny d that we chowed down on afterwards.
